March 3: Morse Code Partner Activity.  Half Day.

March 6: Start Ch 11 section 2 (Conditions in the North before the Civil War).  Start creating a list of factors in the North to compare against the South (people, jobs, immigration, ect.).

March 21: Watch Crash Course Video on Reform Movements of the late 1800s.  Continue working on Ch 14 Vocab Start Reform movement/Underground Railroad worksheet.

March 22: Watch Crash Course Video on Women Reform Movements.  

March 23: Watch Crash Course Video on Slavery.  Discuss viewpoints on slavery from the North and the South.  

March 24: Start Pre-Civil War Timeline of the events leading up to the war.

March 27: Class activity reading and note taking Ch 14 Section1.  Continue Vocab, worksheet, and timeline.  Start Ch 14 section 1 review.

March 28: T-P-S Chapter 14 Section 2.  Groups will read and analyze the Compromise of 1850, effects of the compromise, and cultural differences between the North and South before Civil War.

March 29: Quiz over Chapter 14 Section 2.  Start Ch 14 Review Chart

March 30:Students continue work on Chapter 14 assignments (timeline, section reviews, reform/underground railroad worksheet, Ch 14 vocab, Ch 14 review chart).  Watch video over Kansas-Nebraska Act

March 31: Read Ch 14 section 3 as a class.  Watch video clip over the Dred Scott case. Outline Sch 14 section 4 notes.
